Housing programs - permanent supportive housing/rapid re-housing/shared housing intervention programs. These programs provide supportive services, including case management, advocacy and referral for literally homeless and doubled up individuals and families. Rental assistance is available with case management to individuals and families with high vulnerability and history of homelessness. This program continued to assist over 350 households, including single adults and families with children.housing assessment resource agency (hara)- in 2023 Advent House Ministries, Inc. Became the hara for the lansing/east lansing/ingham county area. With this ahm became the lead agency in organizing and supporting coordinated resource management and dissemination for housing assistance in our area. This involves ensuring that all those experiencing homelessness are evaluated to determine vulnerability levels and included on a 'by names list' for prioritization of available housing programs and openings. This program also includes providing a hot-line for housing resources, which is currently processing over 1300 calls/week. In addition, the hara programs provide limited homeless prevention and rapid rehousing assistance to area households whose income is at or under 30% ami.shelter diversion program- in 2023 ahm also added the shelter diversion program, which assists families and homeless disabled adults who are at imminent risk of homelessness or are already homeless and doubled up with family or friends. This program supports both the target household and the host household in a doubled-up situation to build stability while the individual or family is in process of stabilizing. This program assisted over 75 households in 2023.street outreach program- this program served the tri-county ingham, eaton, clinton area with direct intervention for individuals and families living on the street or other places not meant for habitation. Over 450 persons were assisted who were found living on the street, in encampments, or other places not meant for habitation; they were referred to shelter, received support services, and were offered assistance accessing housing programs.
Weekend day shelter program - this program provides hot meals and a gathering place forhomeless people and neighborhood residents on weekends, where guests are able to stay all day.we counted a total of 2,467 unduplicated persons (1,797 homeless and 670 non-homeless)participating each weekend, and 37,779 meals were served.
