Program areas at Aes Literacy Institute Incorporated
Helps individuals 17+ without a high school diploma study and prepare to take official equivalency exams to earn an equivalency diploma GED. We work alongside high school principals counselors and staff in Dallas County to recruit 'seniors' that failed to earn a traditional diploma within the last five years. This program aims to empower participants with the necessary skills knowledge and resources to succeed in their academic pursuits and secure meaningful employment. Program components include but are not limited to: GED preparation GED testing wrap around support services college enrollment assistance workplace skills and job placement assistance. By participating in this program individuals will gain the necessary tools to pursue higher education secure a living wage job and build a solid foundation for a successful future.
The test center offers private proctored exams for GED tests and other industry certifications. Certified and experienced proctors are available to assist individuals and groups who need to take exams. We provide a comfortable and secure testing environment with all the necessary equipment. Our facilities have high-speed internet quiet spaces and up-to-date computers. We also offer various test preparation materials such as practice tests study guides and tutorials. Our aim is to create a stress-free environment and provide the best possible experience for test takers.
Assist individuals with post-secondary enrollment and career placement services. CareerLaunch+ is designed to assist disadvantaged individuals 17 - 40 in earning an industry-recognized certification that opens doors to secure living wage employment. The program helps low income minority individuals enroll in post secondary education. Services include but are not limited to: college application completion financial aid form assistance course selection advising and transcript requests. Focusing on certifications that are in high demand we aim to provide comprehensive training programs tailored to specific industries or certifications and by collaborating with industry experts provide a clear pathway to employment. By combining targeted training mentorship and job placement support. Program components include but are not limited to: career path exploration online skills training partnerships with training providers and employers mentorship and professional development job placement assistance support services alumni network and continued support. CareerLaunch+ aims to equip underprivileged minority individuals with the necessary skills certifications and support to access living wage employment break the cycle of poverty and build sustainable careers.
