Program areas at Affirming Youth Foundation
Youth services program: this program helps diagnose harmful social norms and practices, and implement strategies to replace those harmful practices. It also utilized to collect, analyze, and synthesize evidence-based data in coordinating primary prevention strategies critical to the well-being, health, and safety of the community members. This was accomplished through the creation of a multi-sectoral community collaborative. We also provided trauma-informed supportive services emphasizing prevention, harm reduction, mental health education, screening for trauma exposure and related symptoms.
