Educate members of the public: the organization educated the public through media outreach on the issue of ensuring equitable access to safe and Affordable Food nationwide. The organization also conducted outreach in the restaurant and retail industries to educate those industries on the impact of proposed and enacted legislation on the supply chain. In addition, the organization provided education and training to groups and individuals sharing in a goal of Affordable Food for All americans. The education and training was designed to prepare those groups and individuals to present to the public through media interviews and public meetings on the importance of Affordable Food for All and how this goal may be achieved. Organizations and individual companies in multiple states were trained, including chambers of commerce, coalitions, associations, and individual companies that sell directly to consumers. Outreach sessions were conducted monthly throughout 2022. The number of persons benefited by these efforts is hard to quantify, but we believe millions of americans are at risk for increased cost and decreased Food availability if our advocacy and outreach efforts do not succeed.
Weekly calls to educate stakeholders: the organization conducted weekly calls with stakeholders to brief those interested parties on current legislation, litigation, and advocacy efforts underway in states to ensure continued equitable access to safe and Affordable Food.
