AFL-CIO - Kentucky State Building & Construct

The council is chartered by the national building and contruction trades department (afl-cio). Its purpose is to monitor the legisative affairs activity of the general assembly and to promote and protect teh interests of workers in the construction industry, to work with and monitor actions of all public agencies and to protect and improve the safety and welfare of construction workers, to meet with employers and other outside groups to promote industrial peace, and to develope a more harmonious relationship between Labor and these groups, and to research and provide information and education to improve and benefit the working conditions and welfare of construction workers.
