Restoring landscapes and livelihoods in Africa (resaf) project.
Agrifi jetlak groundnut projectthis is an ec funded project through agrifi challenge fund for kenya.aim: 2945 farmers in 84 groups mobilized. 63 seed multiplication sites and 32 demo plots established.trainings on good agronomic practices and use of aflasafe. A market information system developed and used to link farmers with jetlak.
Innofood africaproject title- locally-driven co-development of plant-based value chains towards more sustainable african food system with healthier diets and export potential_"innofoodafrica" project.objective:- aim: to create new value chains to produce and distribute healthy foods and biopackagings from farms to local and export markets.- the specific objectives of the project are: - develop local functional agrofood value chains supported by consumer, market and business model studies. - contribute to easing malnutrition by new diet models and applying nutritional recommendations to develop healthy foods - improve smallholder farming practises by training, streamlining seed systems and adopting post-harvest technologies to reduce loss. - apply modern food processing technologies and boost nutritious food product innovations. - convert crop side streams to packaging materials to increase food safety and reduce agro-food chain loss. - communicate, transfer knowledge and create awareness of the project outcomes, establish an innovation platform to engage stakeholders to adopt technologies and practices as well as create International networks by co-operation within (food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture) fnssa - efficient coordination, quality assurance and risk management - ethics and compliance - consortium of 13 african partners and 5 european partners (6 universities, 3 ngos, 5 research and technology organizations and 4 private enterprises. - project organized around 6 work packages as per the objectives above. Ah involved in wps 1, 2, 3,4 and 6.
