DHS CEMIG (Cultural & Ethnic Minority Infrastructure Grant) This was and remains a 2 part program. the first part was the culturally specific outreach, early intervention, clinical and ancillary trauma-informed mental health, and substance use/misuse services which was aimed at proving financial support for individuals that were insured but could not afford co-pays, co insurance and deductibles. The second aspect of the Cemig program involved Workforce Development tasks through recruiting, supporting, training and supervision of African American unlicensed clinicians to become licensed clinicians/supervisors.
