AFRICAN CENTRES FOR LIGHTNING AND ELECTROMAGNETICS NETWORK aims to decrease deaths, injuries and property damage from lightning across Africa through designing and installing lightning protection systems at schools, public and school e. It also investigates mass casualty incidents where multiple people are killed or injured by lightning, reporting on these on the literature, at international meetings, and to the government of Uganda. The organization's programs include public education on lightning safety at schools, TV, radio, newspapers and other venues.
