Education & Scholarships -African Primary Healthcare Foundation had thirty-five students on full scholarship in various fields of concentration: - Public Administration, Business dministration, Nursing, Computer Science, Laboratory Science, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Animal Science, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Banking & Finance, Law, Education etc. The primary objective of the APHF Scholarship Fund has always been to educate and empower talented students who lack the financial resources to acquire the necessary education or skills they need to survive. Our requirement is that applicants must demonstrate the talents and aptitude to succeed in their chosen endeavors.We have consistently continued to award scholarships to students at all levels ofacademic pursuit. While all children are not endowed with the talent for university degrees,we provide training in other skills.Through AIMS Cooperative, African Primary Healthcare Foundation supports farming and education in the rural communities. In 2024, our dream of a Skills Acquisition for those who are not endowed for university degree became a reality.
People's Empowerment & EntreprenuershipIn our 2021 Annual Report, we projected to break ground in February of 2022 in Ohajifor a "Skills Acquisition Center". This project has been actualized. The center is called Umunwaku Skills Acquisition and Empowerment Center (USAEC). The center will open on March 30. 2024. It boasts of departments for training of the following:i) Carpentersii) Electriciansiii) Masonsiv) Tailorsv) Weldersvi) Computer Technologistsvii) Caterers/Bakersviii) Business managers through the operation of an event centerThe Center has been licensed by NAFDAC (National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control). We are expecting licensing from NABTEB (National Business and Technical Examination Board).
Health Care -While we have not made healthcare a primary focus currently by way of conducting medical missions, we are encouraging healthy lifestyle by supporting farming through our "AIMS Cooperative" program and "The John Ogbu Development projects". We continue to save lives by referring patients to reputable hospitals and providing financial support for healthcare services to people who seek our help.
