Program areas at The Center For Culture

Our principal activities: A.P.T. Community Film & Theatre Initiative: Educated Actors Workshops Educated Filmmakers Workshops Theatre LingoESL Workshops NYC Childrens Play Chess & Drone Club Black History Month Film Festival and Make Up Master Class Film & professional MUA for people of color. Our community partners in these initiatives are: Museum of The Moving Image Cultural Collaborative Jamaica A Better Jamaica Jamaica Performing Arts Center The Thomas Berry Place Open Mind Studios Theatre of The oppressed No Longer Empty and Queens Borough Presidents Non Profit Network. Our most recent accomplishment is our Community Partnership with Galore Urban Tech a S.T.E.A.M. based NPO that teaches children robotics music coding video game coding VR art & VR art Exhibits drone & chess club. The Afrikan Poetry Theatre funds these activities through regrants. This partnership also extends to The Ocean Bay Community Development Corporation and The Girl Scouts of The Greater New York whom we service with our programming.
