On an annual basis, the Foundation conducts or participates in at least four career awareness programs throughout the state of California for thousands of high school students on Construction industry employment opportunities.the Construction leadership council (clc) is a program and volunteer leadership group within the associated general contractors of California (Agc), focused on the development of emerging junior Construction professionals who are passionate about their career and determined to become the next generation of industry leaders. Strong network: the clc fosters a strong network, connecting professionals from across the industry and facilitating an open forum for the exchange of ideas and discussion of key issues facing the industry today.knowledge is power: the clc also provides a convenient "one-stop shop" for accessing relevant industry trainings and certification programs. Making a difference:the clc is enhancing the quality of life in the communities in which we work and live. Giving back and helping those in need is a great way to build character and we participate in a variety of volunteering and fundraising opportunities each year. Some of the projects have included building homes for charity, fundraising for students interested in constructon careers and more.
The Foundation provides thousands of dollars in scholarships to college students in approved Construction programs of accredited universities. In addition, the Foundation sponsors and provides financial support to Construction focused student organizations at various colleges incalifornia.
The purpose of the small business council program is to engage small contractors in a meaningful way to both promote opportunities in the industry, as well as to provide resources and assistance through education and exposure to large prime contractors, agencies, andindustry experts.
