Program areas at Aia Indiana
Annual Aia in golf outings are designed for networking between our members, friends, and sponsors and to provide added resources to provide programming for members and the public throughout the year.
The 2022 Aia Indiana convention included continuing education programs and networking for architects as well as recognition of the 2022 Aia Indiana design and service award winners. We also held our annual meeting during the convention.
The Aia in christopher kelley leadership development program (ckldp) program helps train and nurture the next generation of leaders. The year-long program consists of nine individual half-day sessions attended by a competitively selected group of 16 emerging professionals (an emerging professional is defined as someone who has graduated from college with an architecture degree and is within 10 years of their first licensure). Prospective participants must go through an application process for selection where proven career success, community involvement and the individual's firm support will be considered. The curriculum focuses on core professional skills such as entrepreneurship and firm management, working together and collaboration, the art of negotiation, client development, community leadership, industry trends, and developing your future within the practice. The selected scholars to the leadership program are responsible for planning and participating in each of the individual sessions.
The 2022 Aia in healthcare design symposium brought together design and construction industry representatives from across the state to learn about the latest best practices in healthcare design and to network. Aia members were able to earn ce credit by attending the symposium as well.
