Program areas at Aia Triangle
Aia Triangle hosts an annual golf tournament which brings together architects and others in the design/build community for a day of community and fellowship. Profits from this annual event are used to provide scholarships for students attending the college of design - school of architecture at north carolina state university and for students in the architectural technology program at wake tech community college. In 2023, 10 students received scholarship assistance totaling $16,000.
The american institute of architects is the leading professional membership association for licensed architects, emerging professionals, and allied partners. The Aia Triangle section is the local voice of the architecture profession dedicated to serving 900+ members by expressing their commitment to excellence in design and improving the quality and livability of our built environment. The Aia Triangle section encompasses a ten county area, engaging members in wake, durham, orange, lee, chatham, franklin, warren, vance, granville, and person counties.
Aia Triangle recognizes the value of design and the contributions our members make to the design and build communities at our annual membership meeting. Average attendance is 185 people.
