Program areas at Aip Foundation
Safe school zones and speed reduction: Aip Foundation works with governments, civil society, and local communities to create a safer and more walkable environment for children. We incorporate comprehensive interventions including targeted education, road infrastructure modifications, public awareness campaigns, and advocacy for safer speeds and speed limit enforcement in school zones. These programs are carried out across our countries.
Community safety for workers:through a variety of programs, we improve the commutes of garment and footwear workers to and from factories. Aip Foundation promotes the transition to safe and seated passenger vehicles, driven by appropriately qualified drivers, and advocates for the adoption of commuting safety policies at factory level. We also work to improve infrastructure and traffic management around factories.
Helmet safety & safe driving skills: our helmet safety and safe driving skills programs are being implemented in several countries educating motorcycle drivers and child passengers about the importance of quality helmet use, as well as teaching young drivers safe driving skills. The programs include the provision of helmets, education and training, and awareness raising activities.
Seatbelts and child restraints: to raise the awareness of the importance of child passenger safety, we implemented programs which include the following components: communication campaings, awareness events, and parent workshops.
