Program areas at APEX
The APEX EXPO is an industry event where airlines and vendors meet to participate in educational sessions and to see the latest and most comprehensive display of airline related technologies, products and services in the EXPO hall.
Communications - Send daily aggregate email to members and non-members to keep members informed of latest developments of the passenger experience; and keep the website up to date.
Board Leadership - The APEX Board has determined that retaining a public-facing CEO will significantly improve the association's ability to 1) grow airline membership and participation in APEX; 2) increase active support of APEX, as exhibitors in particular, among all vendors touching the passenger experience; and 3) generally increase awareness of APEX benefits to the industry overall.
The APEX Content Market Conference is the only global industry event focused specifically on bringing together IFE TV buyers with the leading world-wide distributors of short-subject and TV movie programming. The conference was expanded in 2013 to include non-appointment exhibits from movie, app, GUI and gaming companies.
Technology - Where leading experts address the technical issues of onboard equipment, systems, connectivity, and other developments impacting the industry.
There are the APEX Awards for members judged by peers and media. Other awards given out include Newcomer, Outstanding Contribution, Lifetime Achievement, CEO Lifetime Achievement, and Cool Award.
Membership - A network of the world's leading airlines, suppliers and related companies committed to elevating the level of the passenger experience.
Educational Meetings - Intensive, highly-interactive sessions focusing on the latest passenger trends, inflight applications, and operational issues crucial to the airline passenger experience professional.
HSA Program - The APEX Health Safety powered by SimpliFlying audit consists of a 58-point checklist that can be filled out online, free of charge. The questionnaire covers 10 categories, including testing, tracing, on-the-ground procedures, in-flight measures and even co-branded partnerships that further the integrity of airline product safety. The results are validated by SimpliFlying before the airline receives a grade. Airlines paid to participate in this program.
