The Greater Ohio Policy Center (Gopc) successfully educated policymakers on the benefits of that will occur from allocating another $350m to brownfield clean up. Gopc also held a successful brownfields conference that educated local leaders and connected professionals in the field. Gopc provided expertise and guidance to leaders in portsmouth, north college hill, akron, lakewood and the mahoning valley. Gopc also partnered with the Ohio realtors association to research the benefits and potential of pre-approved housing plans and zoning changes. Gopc educated on the benefits of state funding for public transit and launched a new newsletter that showcases resources for increasing bike and pedestrian infrastructure in local communities.
