Program areas at Aka National Resilience Institute
1. Veteran & military family Resilience: in partnership with the Michigan dept of health & human services, Worldmaker led a state-wide program to provide experiential training to veterans, family members and service providers based on the evidence-based thrive Resilience model to deliver practical tools to decrease stigma, increase help-seeking, reduce loss by suicide, and grow Resilience. Dr. mollie marti, ceo and thrive developer, was selected by the george w. bush center as a presidential scholar in recognition of this impactful veteran Resilience programming.
Other programming included school-based workshops and evidence-based suicide prevention and Resilience workshops for community adults and older teens.
2. Community & youth mental health & Resilience: Worldmaker provided community mental health and Resilience programming on-site, supplemented by free virtual mental health and Resilience education for more than 280,000 learners, equipping people globally to better meet social and emotional needs in their community and contribute to a culture of well-being.
3. First responder resilience:following a shooting at Michigan state university and in partnership with pine rest, Worldmaker provided first responders thrive to ems, emergency medicine, nurses, and dispatchers with the objective of healing trauma, facilitating peer support, and growing Resilience.
