Program areas at Aksarben Curling Association
The organization programs include the following activities:learn to curl - all ages and abilities can give Curling a try! Sessions are two hours in length where you'll learn the basics of the game, practice basic skills, and play a partial match! All equipment is provided by Aksarben curling.instructional leagues - designed for curlers with limited or no experience who want to learn the game and sharpen their skills, especially for people who want to take the next step. Leagues last for 3 or 4 weeks. Instructional leagues typically begin with an introductory learn to curl on week 1 and a short match. Over thefollowing weeks, participants play full matches with on-site instruction and guidance provided during Curling matches.league - no experience needed! Sign up as a team or individual in one of our leagues (we'll happily match you with a team!). We offer fall leagues (october- december), winter league (january-march), spring leagues (march-april), and summer leagues (june-july). Leagues cost $20 per game plus sales tax. Annual season membership (september-august) of $100 is required in order to play in Aksarben leagues (discounted after february 1).bonspiels - tournaments are open to all, featuring both beginner's and experienced brackets!college Curling - college teams from creighton university, the university of Nebraska at omaha, and the university of nebraska-lincoln compete on sundays in our college league running from october through march.youth Curling - our youth program accepting ages 5+ (3 age groups) runs on saturdays from january through february.open houses and member social events - come try Curling at one of our open houses or get to know your fellow curlers better at one of our member social events!
