Program areas at Alger Marquette Community Action Board

Early childhood education - administration of health, education, social nutritional, and other services primarily to economically disadvantaged preschool children, benefitting approximately 1,333 children.
Nutrition programs - administer nutrition services by providing meals to seniors. During the year, approximately 10,727 congregate and 86,662 home delivered meals provided. In addition, 2,272 commodity food boxes were distributed to low income senior families.
For our housing programs, we served approximately 478 total individuals for fiscal year ending 9/30/23. Alger-marquette Community Action Board provides affordable housing and housing services programs within the low-income and senior markets. Services provided include affordable housing units, and direct financial assistance programs for veterans and in general. Alger-marquette Community Action Board is a general partner with lost creek. Also partners with two affordable housing communities.
Commodity food programs - administer the distribution of government provided commodity foods to the low income and aged population. Approximately 411 individuals benefitted from outreach and other programs and 2,272 boxes of food were distributed.
