Chained dog outreach: change the caretaking vision and quality of dog guardians who currently chain their dogs 24/7, or whom otherwise keep their dogs outside 24/7. Free distribution of relief supplies in association with seasonal needs: straw insulation, doghouse replacements, fence construction to get dogs off chains, preventative vet care, including free spay/neuter and parasite medications and enrichment items to ensure that every dog is left better than they were when found. Conversation that supports cooperative learning and retention of dogs in their homes and out of local shelters. Through our hands-on approach, outreach continues for as long as needed with repeated unsolicited visits occurring weekly in underserved neighborhoods plagued by lack of resources and financial barriers.
Farm animal and special-needs dog sanctuary: located on 100 rural acres, the organization provides lifelong refuge to dogs that have run out of options at traditional rescues and shelters. These individuals often have chronic behavioral issues and/or medical conditions. Enrichment and housing are provided to not more than 20 dogs at any given time to allow attentive one-on-one care for life. Formerly farmed birds also find refuge with priority given to providing in-depth avian-certified medical care to birds suffering from reproductive disorders and the effects of selective modification. Adoption of birds is also conducted which includes on-site recommendations and consulting on predator-safe housing, medical care and dietary needs for any prospective adopters.
Wildlife response: operated by organization's wildlife biologist as an on- call 24/7 resource to the general public and businesses to resolve wildlife concerns. On and off-site evaluation of injured/orphaned wildlife cases and efficient capture of animals in need of human intervention. Specializing in challenging wildlife capture work and the rehabilitation of avian Species in need of intensive care. Humane wildlife nuisance mitigation offered, including but not limited to alternatives to lethal actions against geese, woodchucks, raccoons and coyotes.
