Program areas at Allgire Foundation

The Allgire Foundation has been working diligently since its inception to Transform Lives By Creating Opportunities by empowering people impacted by the lack of affordable housing. Th Allgire Foundation strives to do more each year to provide support for residents of affordable housing through education, food drives, and by providing tangible assets to help affordable housing residents. 2023 was the Allgire Foundations most successful year and 2024 is trending toward even bigger and better things. In 2023, the Allgire Foundation held its annual Spring Harvest event, raising awareness of food insecurities that residents of affordable housing face. Our Spring Harvest event had over 300 volunteers packaging more than 15,000 bags of fresh produce and delivering them to over 160 affordable housing communities in San Diego. The Allgire Foundation also provided 8 scholarships through its scholarship program, and outfitted residents of several new affordable housing communities with basic supplies that are often taken for granted, such as dishes, silverware, laundry and cleaning supplies, and hygiene products. The Allgire Foundation also participated in several back to school drives by providing backpacks full of educational supplies for children in affordable housing communities in San Diego.
