Program areas at ACC&D

Marking non-surgically contracepted/sterilized animals: Our project developing microneedle patches to painlessly tattoo the ear of an animal to indicate it has been non-surgically sterilized progressed. We worked closely with the Georgia Institute of Technology to optimize that patch and applicator for faster application release, increased comfort and use on the abdomen as well. Several pilot studies were conducted in preparation for a large field trial in 2023, working with the ASPCA and Atlanta Humane Society.
