Program areas at AHA
Aha's goal is to connect people with the resources they need to understand, aid, and enjoy animals and nature, and to engage humans in innovative programs to help them better understand and live with the many creatures on our planet. Our resale shop in lindenhurst, Illinois sells gently used items and the proceeds help fund spay/neuter and other programming. The shop also gives us a daily opportunity to educate the public when they visit. Due to covid-19 aha sponsored programs were limited, however, to increase the public awareness of our mission and to educate the public on subjects related to our mission the organization hosted an open house at christmas time.
Aha has rented a building to open a clinic to serve the community with a low cost spay and neuter program for cats and dogs. The organization is in the process of preparing the space and acquiring equipment for the clinic.
