Education: afjac created new resources to help coalitionmembers with different tax statuses understand how they can work together without jeopardizing their 501(c)(3) partners. These resources were posted on afjac's website, shared with funders, and disseminated at conferences and coalition trainings.
Lobbying: afj Action motivated and organized grassroots advocates to support judicial nominees committed to equal Justice who represent the breadth of diversity in the country and legal profession. Afj Action played a key role in supporting the confirmation of Justice ketanji brown jackson, the first black woman to the u.s. supreme court, and dozens of lower court judges by working with state and national coalitions, generating thousands of contacts into senate offices, co-organizing rallies and national days of Action, and mobilizing constituencies such as labor, lgbtq groups, civil rights organizations and the broader progressive movement.
Partisan work: afj Action educates voters about their senators and president's confirmation of judges who will protect the rights of all of us, and holds those accountable who support nominees who would take away core constitutional rights and favor the interests of corporations over ordinary people. Afj Action also educates and persuades voters to support state supreme court justices committed to equal Justice through voter outreach, communications campaigns, and coalition-building.
