Lcao: as a member of lcao the Alliance participated in the lcao meetings during the year. As a member the Alliance attended meetings outside the office in Washington, dc. Lcao is a large a coalition of the nation's non-profit organizations serving older Americans. It is composed of 70 member organizations that are diverse and dedicated to preserving and strengthening the well-being of american'Americans's older population. The membership dues from each of these organizations helps to covers the administrative costs of lcao's meetings activities. Lcao provides a voice for seniors and their families in the ongoing national debate on aging policy. Lcao fights for the well-being of america's older population and committed to representing their interests in the policy-making arena. Recognizing that the strength of the coalition lies in the diversity of its membership, the purpose of the lcao is to foster communication and resource sharing among its member organizations, to serve as a source of information about issues affecting older persons, and to provide leadership and vision as america meets the challenges and opportunities presented by its society.
