Program areas at Alliance for Safety and Justice
California for Safety and Justice (CSJ) - ASJs flagship state-based - advocacy program, aims to replace mass incarceration with more effective public safety solutions. Through advocacy, grassroots organizing and strategic communications, CSJ aims to move Californias justice system away from mass incarceration and towards approaches that stop crime and increase community safety, wellbeing and access to economic opportunity.
TimeDone: TimeDone is one of the nations largest grassroots networks mobilizing to eliminate the tens of thousands of legal restrictions people with past convictions face that disrupt reentry, destabilize families, and create ripple effects that span generations and communities. Uniting systems-impacted people, their loved ones, and the organizations that serve them, TimeDone advocates for pathways to safety, stability, and success for people with an old record.
CSSJ: Crime Survivors for Safety and Justice (CSSJ) is the largest national victims network advocating for smarter justice policies. CSSJ is elevating the visibility and influence of survivors, mobilizing people impacted by crime through large-scale activations like our signature Survivors Speak events, and changing the conversation on safety and winning reforms that replace over-incarceration with a more balanced approach to safety.
