Alliance for the Betterment of Citizens with Disabilities

Alliance for Betterment of Citizens with Disabilities (abcd) influences the development and implementation of public policy through the development and broad dissemination of policy syntheses and other informational material on extant issues related to public policy and people with developmental Disabilities, including developing curriculum and training materials. Abcd supports its members in improving the lives of people with complex physical and neurological developmental Disabilities so they can achieve the highest level of purpose and dignity by convening training and other activities for its member agencies and by providing information on state and national issues, which impact the services of people with developmental Disabilities. Abcd, through its full members and Alliance members, serves over 10,000 people with Disabilities. Abcd educates the legislature about issues of importance to providers of supports for individuals with developmental Disabilities and advocates for their needs with the executive branch of government.
