Program areas at Alliance for the Collaboration with the Hispanic Community
the Hispanic Alliance unites the largest network working collaboratively to advance Hispanic communities across the upstate and coordinates Community teams in four focus areas: education, financial stability, access to legal services and health. These teams meet once a month and coordinate Community programs to connect underserved communities with essential services and resources. In 2022, over 900 people were served through referrals, Community team events, programs, and Community outreach. We engaged 712 youth and adults in arts related programming igniting inclusive dialogue in our communities. At this year's citizenship workshop, attorneys donated over 93,600 in pro-bono assistance, making it possible for 24 individuals to submit their us citizenship applications. 538 students from 14 different high schools were empowered through lunch & learns. 29 individuals gained the skills to improve their financial future and about entrepreneurship resources through resources for business owners seminars. the ha network of service providers continued to meet with an average of 55 individuals in attendance at each monthly meeting. In 2022, Hispanic Alliance welcomed the sixth class of the student dreamers Alliance, empowering 44 young leaders from three high schools to advocate for their future and their communities while continuing to support over 170 students that have gone through the program since its inception.
