Program areas at Allied Services
Management and administrative support for all Allied Services programs is headquartered in Allied's home office, whose functions include human resources, payroll, accounting, information systems, materials management, risk management and other similar services. This centralized arrangement maximizes administrative efficiency, consistent policies and procedures, and frees program personnel and program resources for mission-related service to the aged and disabled.
Allied's Developmental Services division provides a range of residential care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our goal is to support these consumers as they grow and develop, to make their own decisions, to achieve their personal goals, to develop relationships and to enjoy life as fully participating members of the community. Allied's Scranton ICF facility is home to approximately 80 individuals who receive continuous supervision, medical care and active therapy. At our community residences, consumers who are able to live more independently enjoy a home-like environment, with shared meals, social and vocational opportunities. In all, approximately 20 individuals receive residential accommodations and support from these programs each day.
THE SCRANTON VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER (one of Allied Health Care Services' facilities) INSTRUCTS PATIENTS IN WORK SKILLS. ALLIED PHARMACY PROVIDES PHARMACY SERVICES TO PATIENTS AND RESIDENTS AT ALLIED'S VARIOUS INPATIENT AND OUTPATIENT FACILITIES. ALLIED COMMUNITY RESIDENTIAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM PROVIDES RESIDENTIAL LIVING FOR THE MENTALLY ILL AND HANDICAPPED IN NON-INSTITUTIONAL SETTINGS.
The In-Home & Home Health programs help the disabled, chronically ill and frail elderly to maintain independent living in their homes. In home services such as personal care (bathing, grooming), light housekeeping and meal preparation were provided to 457 individuals in 24 counties; some 295,0370+ hours of service. Home Health, including specialized therapies, wound care, medication management, and other skilled nursing responsibilities delivered approximately 33,693 visits to patients in 7 counties.
