Program areas at Alzheimers Care Armenia
Alzheimer's Care Armenia received a grant from Davos Alzheimer's Collaborative to develop a country-wide mobile early detection memory screening program. The team in Armenia screened over 4400 people and went to every region of the country. We also developed Armenia's first Memory Cafe's for people with dementia which bring hope to these people.
Alzheimer's Care Armenia developed early detection memory screening program for primary care physicians in Armenia to train each doctor on Alzheimer's disease as well as the importance of early detection. We trained over 1500 physicians countrywide and provided handouts as well.
Alzheimer's Care Armenia received a grant from the Hovnanian Family Foundation to develop a groundbreaking in-home cognitive and palliative care program for people with Alzheimer's disease and their families in Armenia. Each person enrolled in the program receives oversight from a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Focus is on the villages in Armenia as many villages do not have doctors working in this ares.
