Outreach/pr/communicationsalheimers Tennessee creates awareness regarding the scope and impact of Alzheimers disease and related dementias on families. Alzheimers Tennessee also creates opportunities for engagement and involvement to support the mission, to serve those facing Alzheimers disease and related dementias, to promote brain health, and to champion prevention and treatment efforts. Outreach communication includes speakers bureau, direct mail, engagement with providers of services, community awareness opportunities, community service partners and website, facebook, podcast and other virtual media connection encouraging the community to mobolize to make a difference in the lives of those living with dementia.
Educationalzheimers Tennessee provides education to caregivers and those with diagnosis of dementia on: disease management, stress management, communications and quality of life and other daily living issues. Education is also provided to professionals who provide care for those living with dementia to equip professionals to provide better care and quality of life to the alheimers community. We provide brochures, educational packets, workshops, a robust website, webinars, in-services, law enforcement and first responders training sessions, brain health and risk reduction and other specialized educational opportunities.
Patient/family servicesalheimers Tennessee provides patient and family services for families all throughout all of the stages of Alzheimers and related disorders through the 24/7 helpline, howard circle of friends adult day center, support groups for caregivers and individuals with early stage dementia, social engagement opportunities for families living with dementia, care consultation, family care planning, community resource referrals, in-home visits and a silver alert program for those at risk for wandering
