Amalgamated Transit Union Local Division 1575

This is a labor Union representing approximately 500 members who work or have worked for the golden gate Transit district. The Union performs the following functions: negotiates for wages, working conditions and benefits; provides oversight of a pension plan for the members and retirees through a taft-hartly type trust fund; represents the employees in any matter involving discipline or discrimination through a system of hearing and arbitration procedures; provides for and administers health and welfare benefits for active and retired members; handles any problem that may arise which affects the welfare of the members.
