Amasong Champaign Urbanas Premier Lesbian Feminist

Amasong's organizational mission is to promote women's music making through (1) high quality choral performance; (2) a musical repertoire that is drawn from various traditions and cultures; (3) the commissioning of works by women composers; and (4) the support of educational activities for its members and other women. Amasong performs two full-length concerts each year, in addition to other special performances; the organization has also produced and recorded cds and videos to further promote and distribute multicultural music written for, by, or about women.
