American Academy of Family Physicians - Nebraska Academy

The meeting is attended by active, life, resident and student members and includes continuing medical education, a member business meeting, election of officers as well as many other programs and workshops on topics of importance to our members in their office practice. Our fall conference each year is also made available to our membership enabling them to obtain continuing medical education and many times offers an additional day of training.

Nafp is working towards executing the 2023-2026 strategic plan. Key priority areas include education, advocacy, practice enhancement, and membership.

The Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians sends members to the annual chapter leader forum and national conference of constituency leaders. This two track conference provides leadership training and workshops on a variety of topics important to our members to help them understand today's rapidly changing health care industry. Scholarships are available from the american Academy of Family Physicians to help provide support for travel. Providing this service to our current and aspiring leaders has been helpful for their leadership in our Academy and to their professional development.
