Annual meetings and expos - adlm's annual scientific meeting showcases vital research in Laboratory Medicine and important updates in the field. Attended by more than 16,000 attendees in-person and virtually in fiscal year 2023, the annual scientific meeting includes educational opportunities in the form of lectures, plenary sessions, scientific sessions, and roundtable sessions.
Adlm's science & practice programs, government affairs, and the global lab quality initiative (glqi), which partners with national societies to improve the quality of Laboratory testing worldwide.
Marketing and communications - this program enhances the awareness of Laboratory Medicine, promotes adlm's programs and membership, supports professional growth and career development for members, and includes clinical Laboratory news, the leading nonprofit monthly news magazine in the field, which provides trusted news analysis in Laboratory Medicine to both member and nonmember subscribers. Myadlm.org receives nearly 1.8 million visitors annually, and in fiscal year 2023, adlm's press program put out 24 press releases to raise public awareness about the essential role that Laboratory Medicine professionals play in ensuring that patients receive high quality healthcare. These releases reached 3.37 billion visitors through a pick up in online outlets, and led to 66 news articles and tv/radio segments about adlm.
Membership - grows and sustains a vibrant and engaged membership of over 6,000 clinical Laboratory professionals, physicians, research scientists, and others involved in developing tests and directing Laboratory operations, and supports professional growth and careerdevelopment for its members.
Education & conferences - beyond adlm's annual meeting and expos, adlm strives to improve healthcare through Laboratory Medicine by offering education and conference opportunities.
Adlm's management services - adlm provides back office services to like minded exempt organizations.
Publications - adlm has two primary publications:clinical chemistry is a monthly journal that disseminates scientific information and education through peer reviewed articles and is distributed throughout the united states as well as internationally. The journal of applied Laboratory Medicine is an international, peer-reviewed journal that showcases applied research on clinically relevant Laboratory topics as well as commentary on the practice of clinical chemistry and Laboratory Medicine. It is published bimonthly online.
