Aabb consulting services is a leader in providing expertise worldwide in quality management and process improvement systems and solutions to Blood, plasma and tissue collection and/or management facilities, transfusion services, clinical laboratories, cellular and relatedbiological therapy facilities.
Accreditation & education:aabb develops standards and guidance for voluntary compliance and accreditation processes. These define optimal patient and donor care in transfusion medicine and cellular therapies.
Communications and online publications:aabb is the premier publisher for publications in the Blood banking, cellular therapies and transfusion medicine field. Our high quality publications and practice standards are relevant for today's healthcare professionals. Aabb advances the acquisition, translation, and application of new knowledge in the disciplines of basic, clinical, behavioral, managerial and laboratory sciences as they apply to transfusion medicine, cellular and related biological therapies through its scholarly journal, "transfusion". In addition, Aabb informs its members through daily, weekly, and monthly newsletters, bulletins, magazines and online peer to peer integration through the Aabb hub.
Conferences & meetings:aabb provides educational programs including conferences and audio conferences to provide continuing professional education to individuals in the field of transfusion medicine and cellular and related biological therapies.
Membership services helps Aabb to provide valuable information on public safety issues, programs for members to interact with peers and education on current and emerging technology for transfusion safety, Blood management, cellular therapies and Blood quality and testing.
National Blood exchange (nbe) continues to provide an important and valuable service to the Blood banking and transfusion medicine community. Nbe relies on a nationwide network of Blood facilities with a surplus of Blood and Blood components. This nationwide network hasenabled nbe to become the primary resource sharing program in the us. Each year, nbe coordinates the distribution of more than 181,000 units of Blood and Blood components.
