Program areas at AANP
Meetings and events - aanp sponsors an annual conference and other events that serve as a platform for members of the Naturopathic medical community to expand their knowledge about Naturopathic medical practices, and share experiences with colleagues. In addition, both member and nonmember Naturopathic Physicians as well as other healthcare professionals attend educational seminars on topics ranging from patient care and innovations in Naturopathic medicine to practice development tools. The annual conference and other events also provide networking opportunities.
Member services - aanp services more than 1,500 members across the country in the areas of licensure, professional development, continuing education and community outreach. Aanp provides its members an online monthly journal, natural medicine journal, at no charge, and works with a number of national businesses to offer discounted products and services.
Government affairs - aanp is the leading organizational advocate for Naturopathic healthcare services and Naturopathic Physicians. Aanp seeks to implement policies that advance the profession of Naturopathic medicine and provide patients with access to Naturopathic Physicians. In addition, aanp engages in federal legislative activities, state licensing efforts and public relations campaigns to educate consumers about Naturopathic medicine.
