Program areas at American Chemical Society - Savannah River Section
Our organization hosted the Southeastern Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society, held from October 31 through November 3, 2018 in Augusta, GA. The meeting attracted 1648 attendees, who came for technical seminars, poster sessions, a graduate school fair, and a vendor exposition
Our organization hosted 5 dinner meetings for our members during the year. These meetings are an opportunity to hear a technical Presentation and to interact with other members. Normal attendance is approximately 25 people per event
Qur organization performs chemistry outreach and community activities throughout the year.. Examples include: Earth Day Adopt-A-Highway, Program-in-A-Box, Science Education Enrichment Day at the University of South Carolina-Aiken National Chemistry Week, Chemistry Otympiad (high school chemistry student competition), Science Saturdays and CSRA College Night. None of these are revenue-producing events
