Litigation accomplishments for the reported year include: successful challenge to public official's policy of blocking constituents based on viewpoint, successful challenge to city's restrictions on street musicians, represented daughter of death row inmate scheduled for execution, filed litigation challenging book bans, challenged jail's policy of refusing to provide necessary medical care without prepayment, secured preliminary injunction against enforcement of state statute requiring individuals to register with the stay before helping citizens register to vote, challenged statute prohibit any person from assisting more than one person with a disability or translation need to voter. In addition, we established a presence in the hayti school district for the purpose of building community support for policies that will be responsive to the community and disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline.
