Program areas at ACCP
Education: the annual Chest meeting and other continuing medical education activities are conducted to update clinicians on patient care strategies, prepare for subspecialty examinations, establish practice standards, preview investigative research and new science, and provide networking and career advancement opportunities.
Corporate development: the American College of Chest Physicians also engages in various other educational programming to provide training in the area of pulmonary care.
Publications: the American College of Chest Physicians (College) publishes a monthly journal: Chest. 28,000 readers worldwide subscribe to keep up-to-date on chest-related medicine. In addition, the College publishes a number of books in the field of Chest medicine.
Leadership, networks, and membership: interdisciplinary, focused-interest groups are established to provide the opportunity to form a professional alliance with other members or groups who share similar expertise and concerns relative to clinical practice and/or community health issues.
