CME program development: Funded CME Programs to assist the ACA Coordinating Committee, ACA Program Chairs, In-depth Review Committee, In-depth Review Program Chairs, Urology Discipline Mid-year Program Chair, Surgical Educators Seminar program planners, Student Osteopathic Surgical Association and leadership training program planners in the planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and assessment of their continuing education programs in accordance with AOA Category 1-A CME requirements.
Standards review: Provided funding to review ACOS/AOA basic standards for residency training and surgical specialities as well as the ACOS model curriculum for each osteopathic surgical specialty. The curriculum serves as a guide for program directors of residency programs to use in the curriculum for the training programs.
ACA Awards: Provided recognition in the form of awards at the ACA for individuals who have made significant literary, scientific and leadership contributions to the field of osteopathic surgery.
