Program areas at ACP
Education & information: acp provides evidence-based educational resources for Physicians and offers many continuing medical education opportunities. Acp's annual scientific meeting, internal medicine 2023, was conducted in april 2023 in san diego, ca. This was a well attended and successful meeting. Approximately 7,000 Physicians attended this meeting in person and an additional 1,000 Physicians attended this meeting virtually.
Membership: with 161,000 members, acp is the largest medical specialty organization and second-largest physician group in the u.s. levels of acp membership are medical student, resident fellow, member, fellow ("facp"), honorary fellow, and master ("macp"). Fellowship recognizes Physicians' personal achievements in internal medicine. Acp masters are selected for outstanding contributions to medicine.
Journals and publications: acp publishes annals of internal medicine twice monthly, the top peer-reviewed internal medicine journal in the world. Acp journal club summarizes the most important medical articles from more than 100 journals. Acp internist is an award-winning semi-monthly newspaper for internists, while acp hospitalist is written for internists in hospital practice.
