The American Copy Editors Education Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that awards scholarships to students who have a passion for editing. The organization has awarded nearly 150 scholarships since its inception in 1999, and currently awards six scholarships every year to undergraduates and graduate students. In addition to individual cash awards, these scholarships also include financial aid to attend one of the two annual ACES conferences, in-person or virtual. The organization is run entirely by volunteers and all award funds are raised by individual donations.

Program areas at American Copy Editors Education Fund

To provide scholarships to potential copy editors and to students who will be juniors, seniors and graduate students who are majoring in copy editing. There is no limitation whatsoever on the basis of race, religion or relation to members of the organization. The scholarship awards will amount to 1,000 per student up to a maximum of 2,500.
