Program areas at American Council for Technology
Conferences and events: act-iac hosts two major conferences annually where government and industry executives meet to discuss high priority issues affecting the government's use of information Technology, develop best practices and forge successful strategies for creating a more effective government. They are the emerging Technology and innovation conference in the spring and imagine nation elc in the fall. In addition, act-iac offers forums and other events throughout the year on the top topics facing the federal Technology market.
Iac membership: iac membership benefits include advancing business with connections to government and industry that will collectively support the mission of the government, providing opportunities to learn directly from government and other industry leaders and work together to solve problems, and help build meaningful relationships with government through committees, communities of interest, conferences and events.
Professional development: a major element of the act-iac mission is to provide leadership development education to enhance the professional development of the government Technology community. Act-iac has four major professional development programs for government and industry. The associates program is aimed at entry-level individuals. The voyagers program is geared to mid-career employees and the partners program provides senior-level employees with education on strategic and policy issues. Act-iac also runs a growth in leadership for women program.
