A. 2022 annual fall education meeting - 84 acec Oregon members and their guests participated in educational and networking programs. Educational programs were held during the two day conference in september. The educational programs that were held include: Oregon paid family and medical leave insurnace updates from acec national insurance trusts Oregon tax update diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging panel discussion navigating employee retention in a disruptive marketthe meeting also provided an opportunity for members to see exhibitor presentations and learn how their products can assist Engineering firms.b. 2022-2023 acec Oregon education programs - a variety of meetings and seminars were held designed to promote education and information for consulting engineers. Topics of programs this year included:august program - golf - 20 attendedoctober program - leadership development series #1 - 14 attendedoctober program - salary survey results - 23 attendednovember program - leadership series #2 - 14 attendeddecember program - leadership series #3 - 20 attendeddecember program - legislative preview - 36 attendedfebruary program - bowling for scholarships - 32 attendedfebruary program - leadership series #4 - 19 attendedmarch program - reception with legislators - 28 attendedmarch program - leadership series #5 - 18 attendedapril program - ceo breakfast panel discussion - 28 attendedapril program - leadership series #6 - 20 attendedmay program - leadership series #7 - 16 attendedmay event - annual business meeting - 53 attended - committee chairs gave updates on their committees and the new budget was approvedjune event - networking day golf - 110 attendedc. Engineering excellence awards - held in january; projects were submitted by firms and judged. Awards were announced during program. The Engineering excellence awards competition recognizes Engineering achievements which demonstrate the highest degree of merit and ingenuity. - 240 members and guests attended the dinner.d. Service to industry - the association worked to educate city, county and state agencies on the merits of qualification based selection (qbs). Other srvices included a membership directory on our website, publication of an e-newsletter, a salary survey, a scholarship for a student majoring in Engineering and a free referral service to the public.
