A. 2023 annual fall education meeting - 70 acec Oregon members and their guests participated in educational and networking programs. Educational programs were held during conference in september. The educational programs that were held include: how the a/e indsutry is performing working with union pacific from design to agreement workforce development siletz tribe capital projects skillful communicationsthe meeting also provided an opportunity for members to see exhibitor presentations and learn how their products can assist Engineering firms.b. 2023-2024 acec Oregon education programs - a variety of meetings and seminars were held designed to promote education and information for consulting engineers. Topics of programs this year included:august program - golf - 18 attendedoctober program - leadership development series #1 - 22 attendedoctober program - salary survey results - 34 attendednovember program - leadership development series #2 - 24 attendeddecember program - leadership development series #3 - 32 attendeddecember program - legislative preview - 33 attendedfebruary program - bowling for scholarships - 42 attendedfebruary program - leadership development series #4 - 17 attendedmarch program - leadership development series #5 - 25 attendedapril program - leadership development series #6 - 32 attendedmay program - leadership development series #7 - 27 attendedjune event - annual business meeting - 42 attended - committee chairs gave updates on their committees and the new budget was approvedjune event - networking day golf - 91 attendedc. Engineering excellence awards - held in january; projects were submitted by firms and judged. Awards were announced during program. The Engineering excellence awards competition recognizes Engineering achievements which demonstrate the highest degree of merit and ingenuity. - 253 members and guests attended the dinner.d. Service to industry - the association worked to educate city, county and state agencies on the merits of qualification based selection (qbs). Other srvices included a membership directory on our website, publication of an e-newsletter, a salary survey, a scholarship for a student majoring in Engineering and a free referral service to the public.
