Program areas at American Criminal Justice Assn-Lambda Alpha Epsilon
The Association held numerous regional conferences which gave students and professionals enrolled in criminal justice college degree programs opportunities to become acquainted with the criminal justice field. The Association's local chapters also conducted criminal justice seminars and tours of criminal justice facilities across the United States. The regional conferences included workshops, written and practical competitions dealing with criminal law, juvenile justice, crime scene investigations physical agility courses, and firearms competitions.. Membership is composed of persons who are formally committed to the field of criminal justice, either through their education or employment. Chapters are organized as professional, collegiate,ora combination of both depending upon eligible members in the community. Membership is drawn from the total criminal justice field including law enforcement, prosecutionm defense courts, and corrections.. Annually, the Association conductd a National Conference which brings together local chapters and professionals who attend professionally conducted seminars and related criminal justice training. The Association periodically prepares and publishes a Newsletter and academic Journal that is available to members onthe Association's web site. The Association also gave cash scholarships to members who were awarded recognition for scholastic achievement toward the pursuit of college deqrees.. The Association also annually awards recognition plaquesto outstanding advisors elected by the membership body. Financial assistance awards through the Ron Pincomb and Richard McGrath Memorial Funds programs assist professionals and students attending the National Conference
