Program areas at American Helicopter Society International

Membership services> the services include but are not limited to providing technical information and providing a vehicle to exchange information, which will lead to the advancement of vertical flight technology. Work with local chapters and student chapters to disseminate information. There are approximately 6,500 individual members and 165 corporate members.
Annual forum, meetings and other events: throughout the year, the vertical flight Society organizes and co-sponsors several regional and International conferences around the world that facilitate the advancement of the theory and practices of Helicopter and other vtol aircraft technology. Whether smaller (100-400 person) regional or technical specialists' meetings or our annual forum - the biggest and best vertical flight technical event in the world, with more than 1,300 attendees - every event is designed to impart as much knowledge and understanding as possible, as well as provide networking contacts and excitement about the future of vertical flight.annual forum provides a forum for the exchange of technical & developmental information with respect to vertical flight technology - material is maintained and distributed to help advance vertical flight technology. Due to the pandemic, the forum was held virtually.
Publications: publications provide information pertaining to vertical flight technology through two trade journals. In addition, technical papers are available to members and available for purchase by the general public.
