Program areas at American Hungarian Friends of Scouting
Facilities: The organization provides the scout troops facilities to hold weekly meetings. The primary facility is the Hungarian Scout Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Occupancy expenses for the center include rent, utilities, cleaning, maintenance and repairs.
Travel: The organization provides for transportation of scouts to various scout programs such as summer camp, skills camp, leadership training camp, etc.
Scouting Programs: Scouts participated in several camps including winter weekend, spring weekend and fall weekend outings. These are directly tied to the organization's program service goals. The income generated by these activities consists primarily of participation fees to cover the activities expenses such as supplies, food, travel, occupancy or participation fees. Approximate 100 scouts benefit from these activities.
Other program services include Depreciation, Insurance, Donations, Gifts and Memorials, Newsletter, Bank Charges, Office Expenses, Information Technology, and Advertising. It also include Payments to Affiliates, such as the Hungarian Scout Association in Exteris in order to receive the benefits of these organizations for our Scout Troops, such as he use of camp facilities and access to training programs.
