Aiha's partnerships and technical assistance build the capacity of thehealth workforce and strengthen Health systems to improve healthoutcomes to prevent, detect, and treat disease, from the community tothe national level. Aiha develops workforce capacity of a wide array ofhealth care and allied professionals from doctors and nurses to labtechnicians and social workers. Aiha leverages twinning partnershipsand other forms of technical assistance to improve Health outcomes,advance Health and gender equity, target marginalized and vulnerablepopulations, increase local ownership, and ensure program impact andsustainability. Aiha's programs have been implemented in over 40countries in sub-saharan africa, asia, eastern and central europe,latin america and the caribbean over the past 30 years.
